Unknown Soldiers: Phillipine-American War

This photo is included with my grandfather's Phillipines collection. He is in some of the photos, and not in others. I don't think he is in this photo - none of these men look like him. No one can know what happened to these young men - did they survive the war? Did they return home in one piece?
According to Wikipedia, 4,324 American soldiers died during the war. Of there, there were 1,000-1,500 combat deaths. The rest were from disease. 2,818 American troops were wounded. The same article states that there were 20,000 deaths in the Philippine military, and 1/4 to 1 million Filipino civilian deaths (out of a total population of about 9 Million).
