We always love our dogs #2

This one is me, and the dog is "Charlie". He was much loved and his name continues with a different Charlie in my household today.

These photos were passed on to me from my late parents, Lawrence & Maxine (Alcorn) Wachenheim. They had saved them in various boxes from the estates of grandfather (Lawrence Wachenheim Sr), and two great aunts (Emma Herrmann and Rose Wachenheim). There are also some documents. Many but not all lived in Quincy, Illinois, the town where I was born and grew up.

I'm posting these photos for family heritage and genealogy, for history, and for those interested in the past. I have also uploaded the genealogy onto ancestry.com. I'm also seeking someone who would like to own the originals.

To display photos and information for a particular person, click on their name in the "Index". The family history is detailed under my name on ancestry.com. The photos are not copyrighted. Comments are welcome. This blog was formerly called "Wachenheim Century".

Those boxes also contained unlabeled photos of many unknown persons. I'm posting some of those, especially of soldiers and military personnel. Most were from the era of the Philippine-American War and WWI.

As of Oct 2018, there are still hundreds of photos to scan and post. I post them as I have the opportunity.
