Click on "Emma Herrmann", in the labels, to see the same front porch about 100 years ago. SOme place change a lot. Others, not much at all. I remember visiting Emma. She would make Black Cows, which were root beet with vanilla ice cream. Her table and chairs are in my kitchen. The photos were her's as well. She had a grape arbor in the back yard.
