Alice Wachenheim

I thought it would be a good time to give someone else a chance. This is how I remember Alice, my grandfather's sister. The photo is taken 1958 (nice to have automatic date stamp on these later photos). The Pomeranian is named Ginger. When I was small, we would visit Alice and her sister Rose in the house where they grew up. They were always very nice and caring. The house is still standing (I'll see if I can take a photo on the next trip to Quincy).
Just to be tangential, Pomeranians originally came from Pomerania, which no longer exists. The region is split between Germany and Poland. The dogs were originally known as Spitz and were sled dogs, but the breed was "shrunken" to provide toy dogs. Posted by Picasa
